Room Visualization in Unreal Engine 5

This was an exploratory project in learning Unreal Engine 5 and Lumen while improving my interior visualizations skills. I wanted to create everything from scratch; from materials to 3D assets.

I used:

  • Unreal Engine 5 with Lumen

  • Audotesk Maya

  • Substance Painter and Designer

  • DALL-E mini for paintings on the walls

  • Textures.com for plant textures

Work in process pictures.

Materials

I made all the PBR materials in by myself in Substance designer or inte Unreal Engine 5. It was a bit of a challenge to make the textures tone downed, in contrast to the more stylized and dramatic materials i’m used to do for games.

Tea Set

I got inspired by a cup that my brother own and thought it was a wonderful material to recreate. All of the texturing is made in Substance Designer, modeled in Maya and Zbrush
